Merry Christmas!!

Christmas is always a BLAST with our family, and this year was no different.  Brendan always gets the most creative gifts, and just always seems to blow me away.  Everyone came to our house, dressed in Santa Hats, with our gifts, adn we opened them and then headed to mom and dads for the day.  Mom cooked an amazing breakfast and dinner, and we just lounged around and played Wii all day, followed by a game of Monopoly(on brendans new board). This year Brendan got me a pea in the pod gift certificate, a Katie coffee shop mug and gift card, a small computer (so I wont sit in bed with my big one on my belly), and a Chanel J 12 watch(picture below).  I got a great new jewelry cleaner/Steamer from Mom and Dad!

Annual Holiday Party

We had our Annual Holiday Get Together last night, and everything went great!  I managed to pull off drinking sparkling cider all night, and everyone thought I was drunk!  We told Marty and Karen when they arrived about our little bundle of joy on the way--I think they were shocked and excited, even after a 6 hour car ride to get here!  Here are some pictures below:

OH BABY!!

 I'm so excited! I can't believe I'm going to be a mommy! Oh wow, I'm still shaking.

I woke up, with “the girls” feeling sore, and 2 days late and something off. Brendan has been telling me for three weeks, that he knows I am pregnant, and I have the glow. I got out of bed, rushed to get ready(not going to the bathroom, so it is first morning pee), put my makeup on and flew out the door to CVS to get a test. I couldn’t wait, so I went to their bathroom in the back, and broke it open.

Its faintly positive. In the few minutes I had to wait for the results, a million thoughts raced through my head: What if I am pregnant? Am I ready for this? What if I'm not pregnant? I don't think I really realized how much I wanted a baby until I thought the test was negative. My heart sank when I didn't immediately see two lines. But, of course, a couple of minutes later, there they were. Once I finished my happy dance in the middle of the CVS bathroom, my first thought was "I can't wait to tell Brendan!"
Brendan has been dying to have kids since day one, so I know he'll be ecstatic. We've been trying for a few months...well, sort of. We agreed "If it happens, great! If not, no big deal." But I really thought it would take us longer to conceive than it did!

Now my big dilemma is how to tell him the good news. I think telling him straight out would be too easy and, well, kind of boring. I want to do something creative. Well that all went to crap, when I got in the car, took a picture of the test and immediately sent him a picture of it. Here was his response (how cute is this, think he was excited?!?):

I went straight to moms house and told her, called the girls and told them. We then had a great dinner at Mom and Dads, and Brendan did a toast and told Dad. Now it is time to get my head wrapped around this!
